I Am Your Sister, I am Your Brother

When I first began advocating for TBR; The Bible Reincarnate, I felt it was important to keep my true identity a secret because as many of us have seen through history, sometimes there are those that try to tie one’s identity to the movement or revolution they are trying to set forth.

Would Abraham Lincoln’s words in the Emancipation Proclamation have carried the weight it did had he been African American? Would Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s philosophy and leadership been the same had he not been Indian. Would Sylvia Plath have been the writer she is known to be had she been male?

I am grateful that those of you whom friend me or follow me on Twitter have the beautiful open minds you have and have accepted me without knowing whether I am white or black, Asian or Hispanic, male or female for you know that the purpose of TBR pertains to individual spirituality not my identity. You know that The Bible Reincarnate will be about coming together to share how one’s creator/s work with someone on an individual level and not based on how someone looks.

To me individual spirituality is so vast like the many shades of a color spectrum. It is my belief that if each organized faith had its own color, none of us would/could admit to accepting just one color because we are more complex as well as more brilliant than that.

I thank you sincerely my dear brothers and sisters for believing in yourselves and for having the open mind to accept my lack of identity. For those of you whom have accepted me as your brother, I pledge to be your brother always. For those of you whom have accepted me as your sister, I pledge to be your sister always. Based on reincarnation who’s to say I won’t be/haven’t been either. Our connection is a brilliant one, one that I respect highly because of who you are but more so because of what you believe.
