Love Your Taxes & Press The Rich To Pay Much More Of Them, For Tomorrow’s Sake

For many living in the United States and possibly around the world, we hear of the frustration regarding tax hikes and cutting taxes. With that said, this morning my love and I took a moment out to walk the “Black Hill Trail” located in a lovely park not to far from our house. Surrounded by beautiful woods and Mother Natures positive energy, I allowed my thoughts to brush up against the leaves that took flight via the gentle breezes around me.

The lovely lake that is a part of this magnificent path was calm and serene and the occasional canoe that could be seen in the distance brought a tranquil stillness to the world around me. This was total peace and it was free because my taxes pay for it.

As we left the park, I learned from my love that a small portion of the long and brilliant drive into the park was going to be sold to develop new houses. I was suddenly struck by the idea that the best way to gain land for development to build high end homes and make lots of money might be to starve out an area that would need money for other things thus taking advantage of the situation, getting a cheap price on such a sale and cash in. Could this be what many in the United States Government are banking on with the idea of pitching the idea, “No New Taxes”?

People get so caught up in the idea that our tax money is mismanaged and not spent correctly and in some cases this very well may be correct but it also is our taxes that keep such brilliant landscapes available to enjoy for generations to come.

It is so much more cost effective to buy a plot of land filled with just trees and tear that down then it is to take an already developed area filled with run down buildings, tear them down then rebuild on such property. Many without jobs or those having difficulty making ends meat may, like everyone else, see the immediate joy of having a little more money in there pocket should they not have to pay taxes but if you really think about it, the less taxes you and I, the little people, have to pay, the less taxes the rich have to pay as well. This then may possibly allow circumstances such as selling off land to build on thus destroying the environment even more accessible for the rich to become richer and the poor to become even poorer.

With the possible destruction of the environment we have less to enjoy regarding nature, the air we breath, and the future because if all we do is destroy such easy prey as trees instead of worn out buildings and houses that lie dormant, we do nothing more than continue to create a concrete jungle without life. Without life, there may be no tomorrow for our children and if reincarnation exists, for us to come back to.

Some people may simply be thinking right now, I won’t want to come back but what if those same people have no choice simply because they have not learned everything they were to have learned during the course of there overall spiritual existence which may extend into living many lives, not just one.

With that said, I ask that you my beautiful as well as educated not to mention brilliantly open minded brothers and sisters press your governments to tax the rich much, much more while keeping the standard tax rate for “everyone else” at the current rate. By doing so, we can not only create jobs but save our environment for our children’s futures, as well as for possibly ours.
