How awesome a gift, that being a kiss when with the one you want. There are those that have said that kissing first came to be through our mothers. In prehistoric times, to feed the child, a mother would chew on food then put it her child’s mouth, mouth to mouth. It was a true expression of love, one that I find beautiful as well as poetic.

Since then there have been many ways of kissing. Whether it be sexual, between two lovers or affectionate without a sexual surge as between family, the kiss has always been the way to show someone or something your most focused attention.

Wikipedia defines the kiss in many other facets such as via religion, respect, or friendship.

Kissing via respect, to me can be done in many forms. I respect my friends differently than I would my family but I respect them too. I respect my lover differently than I do my Goddess thus the kiss is different but still too out of respect.

With regards to religion, I find kissing a practice in my own spirituality whether it is between my Goddess and I or my lover and I; I believe that kissing as mentioned already, is the purest way to show one your complete attention. I also believe that spiritually, kisses can be given beyond all time and space to those we appreciate, respect, love, and admire. I have sent many kisses to the other side throughout the years to lovers, possible lovers, past lovers, as well as to my current lover. Like an old fashioned answering machine, it is my belief that such kisses await them, staying just as fresh if not fresher than when I first sent such kisses.

Thank your creator/creators as I do mine that the lips of someone are not the only place one can kiss. I find the neck to be a great part of the body to land soft butterfly kisses and let’s not forget one’s tummy. Again, all of which, I believe can also be done beyond all time and space. Think about how awesome that is, and then consider inviting someone spiritually beyond all time and space whom you adore to receive such kisses should they wish to do so. What better way to begin establishing the interest in someone you may have otherwise been unable to confess such feelings for in this life time? Fathom the very possible reality of you, yourself, crossing over to the other side when it is your time, to find spiritual kisses from someone whom always admired you but might have been to afraid to say so. It would be while on the other side you could get a chance to not only choose to receive such kisses from them but find out more about them, before you make such a decision. Either way, such kisses can be seen as positive energy left for you thanks to someone else because they thought of you. It might also open other spiritual doors to such things as relationships in your next life/lives or could be seen as moments to thank the person who left you the kisses but also establish ground rules to why you may not want to receive such affection from him or her next time around thus limiting any drama that may have come had you not sat down with them on the spiritual plan before the two of you arrived back here for your next life.

Long French kisses are also an enjoyable type of kiss filled with passion, delight, energy, and fantasy. I believe that such kisses can also be classified spiritually as I, thinking back, would give such kisses to my then current lover as well as to a lover on the other side. It would be through the lover I was kissing that such earthly desires might be felt simultaneously via my lover and my spiritual lover. Of course I would leave it up to the lover on the other side to take or leave my kisses. It would be up to them to receive them therefore nothing was ever out of context and always in the name of respect. I would also say a prayer for my current lover, thanking them not only for loving me but for being the vessel between both plains.

So before you kiss that someone special, remember to open your mind as well as your spirituality before gently parting your lips in anticipation of a kiss then think about how magical as well as spiritual your kiss could be.
