This morning as I was watching the 1939 classic film, “Gone With The Wind” I could not help but see similarities of a film about a time in the United States where racism, capitalism, war, waste of life, hatred, ignorance, and selfishness flourished and compare it to today.

What have we as human beings learned about our past? Did those that came before us suffer and die for nothing? If reincarnation exists, which I believe it does, did some of us die for nothing?

It would appear that we as the human race are simply pushing the repeat button when it comes to learning from life’s experiences. The positive to all of this is that there are some of us that have learned over time as well as possible life experiences to respect, appreciate, and love one another. With that said, I do believe there are more of us then there are of them, those that continue to cheat, inflict pain, continue to be selfish, and those that wish to be all powerful creating war and havoc where ever they go.

Yes, a lot has changed for the better since 1861-1865, but I do feel that we are only incremental when it comes to time spent when dealing with such issues. There are still those that wish to live within there own ego empire bringing about scars mentally, physically, and even spiritually, to those they come into contact with, only thinking of themselves and not recognizing one another as equals. For them, as they sit on the piles of cash as well as those that have nothing and will do anything for a quick buck even if it means selling out there own brothers and sisters to do so, there treasures on the other side will be minuet if anything at all. Should they wish to come back into life’s universities, I hope they will have learned from there past experiences and appreciate the realism that we are all on the same pedestal. For this to happen I believe it may take as much as 500 years for such a reality to take place but I believe it can happen.

Until then my beautiful and brilliant sisters and brothers, continue to remind them as well as yourselves that none of us is any better than any other. Be strong as well as wise and love, learn, and move forward by looking ahead at the possibilities of a brighter future for all of us.

Blessed Be-
