American Idiot, Squared

It was almost seven years ago that Green Day put out there “American Idiot” album, an album that to me expressed the madness we in the United States were dealing with in 2004. Again, as of September 21st, it will have been seven years since that brilliant album came into the hands of so many here in the U.S and around the world.

I remember being in Paris, France when the album took flight there, becoming number one by the time my love and I left to come back to the states. It was a challenging time for the U.S., a time I thought couldn’t get any stranger then what it had become. Well, I was so wrong.

Today it would appear to me that many in the United States who appeared to have been mocked in the title song, have gone above and beyond to prove that the band Green Day was correct. We currently have two political parties that have had there shot in the lime light only to be on center stage one moment then be yanked off stage by a huge walking cane, that being the finicky people of these United States.

In just one week a president of change was to speak on a Wednesday night but has given in to a Republican Party request to have it done next Thursday so that they, the Republican Party could have a moment together of verbal abuse towards one another. To me, the president appeared to be bullied then caved in.

For months now, I have expressed the strong possibility of reincarnation, where if we begin individually to prepare now, we may be able to have a better chance at a smother life next time around. I bring this up because it is the people that put our politicians in power and not just here in the U.S.A but all around the world. If we continue to be so finicky and not do the real research regarding such politicians we vote into office we then allow those with huge egos into such seats so that they can either make things work there way or so they can walk away from our issues like our current president which in either case does nothing for us; what kind of future are we setting ourselves up for in the long run?

Technology has almost single-handedly wiped our minds clean from ever considering investigating political race contenders and having political as well as philosophical conversations with one another thus plummeting our senses into video games, textting, and cable television.

We need as a people from what ever nation we live in, to step away from the mental popcorn and fast food for the brain and begin exercising our minds in ways such as studying political parties and candidates, that can bring purpose to today and a positive chance for the future, for all of us.

If I were to tell you that you very possibly have your future in your hands, not just for this life time but the next, what would you do with it? Well my intelligent brothers and sisters of the world, it is very possible that you do. Think about it.
