Arab Spring; Autumn America?
With such disappointment taking shape in the United States regarding the entire political arena could such a thing take place? As for Mexico, the war on drugs appears to take many lives daily, could something like an Arab Spring/Autumn America take shape there as well? Let’s remember that when one says America, there are three, North, Middle, and South.
Because the United States media appears to only discuss events in such country, sometimes seasoning there stories with events that take place outside of the states, I have no idea what is taking shape in South America or Middle America for that matter. From my understanding, Canada is doing fine overall but as for the rest of North America, is something else developing?
Being a citizen of the United States, one who enjoys traveling to other countries, it is my opinion that the United States is not the same country as it was twenty years ago. Although all countries have a growing process, just like the human being itself, there will come a time when the growth of something stops and only gets old from that point on.
Does a major overhaul in our political system need to take place? Can what we have already created with our beautiful cities such as New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Dallas still thrive if such an overhaul takes shape?
Although I do not agree with everything the Tea Party believes in, in fact I consider myself to be a very liberal democrat; I wonder if the Tea Party isn’t on a path that could lead to another level. If the Tea Party wants to believe in a system that took shape when our country first began, why not go beyond that to re-create a country entirely?
Personally, I believe that we as one country should begin pressing our government leaders to begin looking at other countries that will take ideas from them and apply them to our own; after all we are the melting pot of the world; why not include there ideas? Capitalism doesn’t have to die but it, just like anything else, needs to be restructured in a way so that it can still exist along with other isms, other ideas, other ways of life. We, the United States, do not know it all and if we are going to continue being the beckon of light to the world, we need to make such changes.
Just like growth in spirituality, looking outside of the box and realizing there is more to the world than just what you believe, all countries should take up such mindset’s to blend in and grow if need be.
Did you know that in Germany, university students go to school for free? Can you fathom that one concept and how it could alone change the structure of a government? Did you also know that Germany is one of the wealthiest, if not the wealthiest country in Europe? How did they do this? What is there tax system like and how could such an idea benefit the United States or any country for that matter. In other words, we don’t need to get drastic with the idea of an overhaul. Taking ideas like going to university for free and pressing our government official’s one step at a time until it happens, is probably the best way to go. To do so, those of one country need to investigate/research one idea then stand united one unified issue at a time. Once one unified issue is taken care of, we go and do the same with the next. Over time a new piece of structure can take shape, replacing the old rusted structure already there, while keeping the overall structure in tact. With the internet accessible to almost everyone, there is no reason why something could not be put together to do so.
The United States just like any other country is a beautiful and brilliant country but it does need to change and that change can only happen if it’s people can find a way to stand strong, united one issue at a time.
Blessed Be-
