Being My Brothers & Sisters Keeper

Despite the joy and positive energy of these long summer days where we watch each other wearing very little as eye candy, we must also remember the concerns of the season. Although what I have to say should be considered a concern for all seasons, it is usually during this particular season when such matters are at their peak.

I’m talking about child abduction as well as rape. Many of us forget that such topics hit there peak in the summer months simply because so much already is on our minds. Because summer should be a time of fun and relaxation, a time to shed our winter weight, a time to release our energy that had been built up during those cold winter months, the idea of little boy or girl being abducted might not exactly come to the forefront of our minds nor the idea of a girl becoming so intoxicated that she be taken advantage of.

With that said, I ask you my beautiful brothers and sisters to please keep this concept in mind as we enjoy these exciting summer days together. Sisters, remember not to walk alone, especially at night and brothers, keep your eyes out for those who may wish to assault your sisters by taking advantage of them should there guard be down via excitement and drink.

I also ask that you keep your eyes pealed should you find yourself in the company of children. Look out for our littlest brothers and sisters to insure that they too have the opportunity to live a full life without physical and or mental scars.

In conclusion we must remember my dear sisters and brothers that with fun comes responsibility. Although I wish we could all live in a world where such anxiety’s did not need to be thought of, I believe we need to always keep others who may be more vulnerable, somewhat on the forefront of our minds as we spend time with one another during not just this season but all seasons.

So enjoy yourselves, have fun, sew your wild oats, and smile but also please remember those that may need us most. Please Be Each Other’s Brother’s & Sister’s Keeper’s.
