A Spiritual Weekend Retreat At Camp Self
This weekend will be the first weekend in a long time where I am not officially on call, mind you I am in theory always on call in case of a dire emergency, and plan to take time out on a life/spiritual level, for myself.
My plans have already begun with a hot cup of coffee and a package of chocolate fudge Pop Tarts. I have always felt that by combining a little maturity with my sometimes child like self, make for a winning combination. As for my schedule for the day I am going to assist a young lady by volunteering my time to help her cope with the loss of her father.
On a completely different note, I intend to make sure I take time out for my love. She has been waiting a very long time to enjoy my company and whether or not we spend that time together out on the town this afternoon/evening or combine the idea of rest and relaxation by walking the streets of Georgetown, Bethesda, or Gaithersburg then settling in for a little naughty fun, it will be time well spent.
Speaking of this evening, we will be visiting friends of ours who come together once a month to eat, pray, and have spiritual intellectual conversations which usually last into the late hours. Then, once home and as a grandfather clock strikes midnight, I am going to go into my spirit room, kneel before my alter, lighting candles and casting spells/prayers in the name of good, for Mother Earth as well as for those I love, appreciate, and respect. I will also be doing this for you. To be fair, you may not wish to receive my spell/prayer/positive energy. None the less, I will do so anyway and leave such positive energy for you on the other side should you ever decide to change your mind.
As for tomorrow, I intend to relax, lie about my couch and spend time with my love but I also intend to take time out to spend time at my second/always first real place of worship, that being Ivy Wood Cemetery. It is there that I pay homage to a select group first and foremost, then for those whose bodies are actually buried there, and then for the entire spiritual community.
I will also take time out to think of a girl who is not my lover, one who wanders the caverns of my mind and one whom is always in my selected spells/prayers. Is she the one that got away? Yes/No, I answer in this way because I have the girl I want/need and as for the girl I intend to think about, she was already taken. None the less there is a connection that existed between us, an energy I still feel like the loudest thunder, deafening & brilliant after all those years; more on that tomorrow.
As for you my dear sisters and brothers, because every weekend in fact every week day can be a spiritual retreat for the self, what will you do? What ever it is, make sure you take time out for yourself because as you know, if you are not good to yourself, you’re no good to anyone.
