August 21st Is Upon Us. Are You Ready To Be A Part Of TBR?
Making Your Own Bread
One thing I like about individual spirituality is the fact that it is so complex. It is much harder to look within yourself whilst doing so with one’s creator/s to understand your world than it is for someone to follow the teachings of any particular faith. Think about it, what can be more truthful/difficult; understanding the teachings of someone else, or taking the courage and by way of personal experience, learn the lessons both good and bad, that you creator would rather have you learn?
There is nothing wrong with going to a place of worship to educate yourself about the basic values mankind has been teaching for hundreds or maybe thousands of years but why not take on more responsibility and like that of a college prep course, also become educated from what many consider the school of hard knocks? One reason it may be called the school of hard knocks could be because the lessons learned at that school were difficult and painful because it involved the self, mind you this concept should not be looked upon in such harsh ways because there is an upside.
By focusing on yourself while learning from others, you are able to really feel the challenges from within your personal being as well as experience possible emotions that you may choose to decide whether you would or would not wish to feel/experience.
TBR; The Bible Reincarnate will be all of that. TBR will be a place where one can/will stand alone but with others. Those that decide to write there own gospel while taking the initiative to read the gospels of others, could benefit in a much deeper way than going with just one organized book of faith.
To look within and find your faults while also finding your personal beauty may be able to ground you in ways you never thought possible because you are taking a personal path with your creator/s hand in hand.
In conclusion, there is a Christian poem by Mary Stevenson called “Footprints In The Sand”. In it, she tells of dream she was walking along the beach seeing scenes of her life flashing across the sky whereby in each scene she also saw footprints in the sand. Sometimes she saw two sets of footprints which meant she was walking with her savior while at other times she only saw one set of footprints which were at her most difficult times in her life. She asked her savior why and it was then that her savior mentioned that during those difficult times, it was her savior who was carrying her. Although it is a lovely story, one thing I would like to point out is that if this is how one chooses to envision there organized/individual faith, how will they ever learn to walk for themselves during such troubled times?
We as human beings, throughout our lives always look for ways to make things easier and in many ways there is nothing wrong with it but with that said, wouldn’t you appreciate something more for example making/baking your own bread than simply take it for granted that it will always be there at the grocery store when you need it? What happens if the grocery store (organized religion) won’t let you back in for something you believed or did? You would need to learn how to make your own bread anyway wouldn’t you? Learn to make your own bread now then share with the world your personal recipe (personal gospel). You may find that by doing so, you might be missing/not using some ingredients you never thought of trying or assisting someone with there recipe to make there loaf of bread (life) a better one.
Blessed Be-
