Greed

Remember August is Upon Us, spread Your word

Greed

What is it about us as a society that draws us to want more money? Is it really a competitive thing or is it something more? Is it possible that based on the idea of reincarnation that when between lives, in our own individual Heavens we are so at peace that once we are here on earth, we strive for such similarity?

And when a person or group of people is taken advantage of via some Ponzi scam, are they really victims? Didn’t they, in some way, wish to take advantage of a situation to make quick money? Weren’t they going to leave victims in some way, on the side of the road while money was made off of them? Do we do this everyday with such things as the stock market? Are we all to blame?

“In God We Trust” is a phrase found on currency in the United States but why? We have heard so many times such things as “Money and a fool soon part” and in my opinion based on reincarnation, this is evident ten fold. Is it possible that those that were “taken advantage of” deceived others in a past life or even in this one and if so, would this make the person running the Ponzi scheme a hero? What if we simply set our egos aside and realized that no matter what, none of us are any better than the other? Could it be then that we see all involved in the Ponzi scheme, from the person running it to those who consider themselves victims, as heroes or if anything, teachers?

In the Christian Bible, Judas is recognized as the one who betrayed Christ but what if there had been no Judas? Would Christ have whipped himself, starved himself, spat on himself, then climbed a wooden cross and nail himself to it? What or should I say makes a betrayer of trust or is there really so such thing?

Think about it.

As for greed and the all mighty dollar, one of you wrote me suggesting that I discuss the concept of the eagle found on the face of U.S. currency and it’s relation to the Christian Bible via Ezekiel which reads:

1:1…I saw visions of God.

1:10.As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a
man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the
face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an
eagle.

Maybe it is here where the idea of “The Almighty Dollar” stems from. Have we as a society blurred the two, money and god, or in some unique way, is it all one in the same? Money is often spoken about in the Christian Bible as something one should give away to the poor but once given away, doesn’t that make the person who gave it away poor. And if, while you are a poor person, you are given money from a wealthy person, isn’t that karma or do you simply continue the process you started with by the money given to you away? What if you give it away and never are offered money back because of greed via a rich person?Would this make you a fool because you parted with your money or does it make you rich, spiritually?

In my opinion, as in anything, we should save as well as give as we should do everything else, in moderation. Maybe, based on reincarnation, many of us are found to be somewhere in the middle of the financial ladder and if so what about those defined as above us and those defined as below us on the financial ladder? What makes them be in such places? Is it just bad luck compared to good luck or is it something much, much more? While we stay in the middle, always wanting more, settling for a little less, yet giving to others and being content with ourselves with our status, is it possible that the exchange of upper class and lower class is just that, taking turns, via karma, greed, and the bigger picture?

If a starving man steps into a mansion with a full table of food by way of a rich man, is it better to learn moderation and patience from a rich man or is it a blessing for the starving man to step into a modest home with a modest amount of food on the table and be taught by the modest man about moderation and patience? I would go with the modest man being the better of the two teachers. That is why it is up to us, the middle of the pack to continue doing our good work by giving of ourselves either financially, physically, and or spiritually to those that hunger and need us.

As for the rich, they have earned it and may there blessings be ten fold. They, like all of us are on there/our own individual paths learning like all of us, how to be better people to ourselves as well as to others and there is nothing wrong with that.

What have you done for mankind and or Mother Nature today? Sometimes simply smiling at someone can be enough.

Blessed Be-
