Our Mother is Crying

August Is Upon Us, Are You Ready?

Our Mother Is Crying

Just today it was learned that dolphins are washing up on the shores, dead. All over, life is being devoured and or destroyed in the name of mankind. Our Mother Earth is attempting to reprimand us via the unique weather she throws our way but how much have we listened?

There is so much about life to enjoy such as peace and love not to mention sex as well as ourselves on that individual spiritual plain and each other but when will enough be enough for us to recognize that we are suffocating our Mother as we continue to suckle from her like soft mad children?

It was the band, The Doors that attempted to remind us of what we were doing to her 40 plus years ago with the following lyrics from there song, “When the Music’s Over”:

What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

Do we hear her crying in the rain storms across time and space? Do we recognize her wrath when she condemns us via tornados in the United States Midwest while she howls through typhoons in Hong Kong?

Do we feel her wrath when she shakes us to the core in California or Christ Church and do we see her gasp for life when she spills her whales and dolphins upon her shores?

What do we as a society need to do to ease our Mother’s pain? What do you intend to do to wipe away her tears? Will you write down your concerns as well as prayers for her in your gospel come August?

I intend to find opportunities to recycle while I pray on an individual level for her survival. I intend to continue to step outside of organized religion which has its own mandate on how to do things and act accordingly to my Mother’s requests by making her pleas for her via my personal gospel.

I will stand up for my Mother and remind all of us that we need to respect her better while accepting responsibility for our own actions over the years. I will then through individual prayer beg for her mercy and do all I can to make sure I don’t harm her again.

I will be real and inform her that because of the way we as a society continue to act, it may be difficult for me to make such amends as often as I would like. I will then reassure her that I, as well as many others, are making strides in her name to calm her down as we progress forward to a greener tomorrow.

I will then tell her I love her and thank her for all she has done for me.

Please join me.

Blessed Be-
